Lot 2589 ALLOY FRAME FABRIQUE NATIONALE HIGH POWER

SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. Cal. 9mm Luger. S# 245PM34284. Bbl. 4 5/8". High Power semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Fabrique Nationale in 1980. Left side of the slide is marked "FABRIQUE NATIONALE HERSTAL BELGIQUE/ BROWNING'S PATENT DEPOSE", with a "TGI KNOX TN HP" import mark present on the underside of the mainspring housing. S# is marked on the front grip strap. Right side of the frame, slide, and 2-piece bbl. exhibit a "GV B 28480" marking. The exact meaning of this marking, especially the "GV B" prefix is unknown, with speculation indicating that it may denote European police usage. Alloy frame exhibits a matte gray finish, with the slide and other small steel parts exhibiting a black enamel finish. Bbl. is polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. Slide features an external extractor, with a fixed half-moon blade front sight (sides painted red) and dovetailed square notch rear sight. MAGS: 1 blue 13-rd., with polished blued button type floorplate, marked "B642". CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory finishes, exhibiting some areas of light to mild wear and thinning, as well as scattered superficial handling marks overall. Mirror bore, exhibiting what appear to be hardened grease within the lands, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grips show smoothing, as well as some scattered superficial marks and impressions from handling and storage, with the right grip exhibiting a crack that stems from the bottom of the panel.
